Hydrolyzed collagen is denatured collagen which means that its native properties have not been preserved. HBS’s collagen products are made from non-hydrolyzed or non-denatured collagen which is in the native form.

Our collagen source is certified from a BSE free zone. Therefore, we can certify that the collagen we use as raw material has not come from any diseased cows. Also, our sterilization process has been validated to eradicate any disease causing vectors.

Medifil™ II Particles and SkinTemp™ II Dressings are indicated and recommended as single use products only.

The yellow fibrin can actually be a growth factor. White fibrin can possibly be a protein build-up. If build-up of fibrin continues, stop using Kollagen products for a few days. This yellow-white fibrin does not necessarily have to be removed.

Kollagen products are contraindicated in patients with known bovine allergies

Yes. Medifil™ II Particles and SkinTemp™ II Dressings are approved for use on full thickness or stage IV wounds. If the clinician chooses to use the products in this area, the exposed tendon/bone should be kept moist.

Medifil™ II Particles and SkinTemp™ II Dressings can be used on infected wounds however; any infection should be treated concurrently and independently.

The Wound Management Decision Tree maybe used as a guideline however the dressing schedule should be determined by the provider's clinical observations.

Yes, both Medifil™ II Particles and SkinTemp™ II Dressings may be used in conjunction with other topical agents.
